About the Garden

Our Walt Disney Science Garden and Outdoor Classroom was originally started in 2012 with a grant from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. Now we seek occasional additional grants and are supported by the PTA.

WD Community volunteers help maintain the garden assisting with year round maintenance and gardening, including pruning, weeding and creating compost. Parents may sign up to join our garden volunteers at any time of the year by reaching out to the Garden chair, Haley Koning, or the PTA President.

We need You!

A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.

— Gertrude Jekyll

Our Garden enriches our children's education with hands on learning. We need volunteers to help maintain the garden so students and teachers can use it to learn, observe and play!

Watch us grow!
