SIGNS OF SPRING IN THE WALT DISNEY Science Garden

We are beginning to see all of the hard work and generosity from our community grow and bloom in the Science Garden. Many plants, trees and shrubs have been planted and with warmer weather on the way, more are coming. Additional benderboard has been installed and thanks to a generous donation and delivery of redwood stumps from Arbor Vision, our students will be able sit 6 feet apart in the garden. Many thanks to Devil Mountain Nursery for their generous discount on plants and to Molly and Kenny Hiatt for the beautiful, handmade raised planter boxes. Many San Ramon community members recently donated succulent cuttings and plants from their own garden to fill our drought tolerant area.

We are looking to replace the rotting wood fence and will be fundraising for additional permanent tables for students at our upcoming online auction. If you’d like to donate, help or just find out more, please contact Laura & Lindsey, PTA Garden co chairs, at garden@wdpta.org

Please let us know if you have any questions and thanks in advance for your kind support.

Gratefully,

Lindsey Shaw and Laura DiGiovanni

A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.
